Abstract Submission - GUENTER HABERZETTL - ABB Automation GmbH

Implementation of European Requriements into ABB Products for Emission Monitoring according EN14181.

EN14181 describes the quality assurance of Automated Measuring Systems (AMS) about the suitability test (QAL1), the installation and calibration checks of the AMS (QAL2), the regular drift and precision control during operation (QAL3) and the Annual Surveillance Test (AST).

ABB implemented important and well-known solutions into the gas analyzer systems to fulfil these requirements. Solutions like automatic storage of drift values according QAL3 will be explained as well as features about the improvement of maintenance intervals and the decrease of maintenance costs, which is of major importance for the plant operator. These solutions are based for requirements on a high degree of quality, low values for uncertainty factor, a high availability as well as the suitability of the AMS (QAL1) according to EN15267-3, which is demonstrated in the presentation.

ACF-NT as a solution for waste incinerators, ACX as solution for large combustion plants and the new Limas23 will be presented along with the ABB zero and span point adjustment philosophy “calibration without test gas bottles”.
